2018 Pinot Noir

Nemarniki Vineyard is a picturesque site in the Chehalem Mountains. A chance meeting occurred while winemaker Matt Vuylsteke rode his bicycle by the vineyard and met Diane Nemarnik. A long conversation led to many years of working together and a great friendship. Leading with aromas of bright red raspberry and coffee into a palate of cocoa, cane berry compote, and spice, this Pinot Noir is built to age gracefully.

• Vineyard planted in 2011
• Soil: Loess and Volcanic Basalt
• Elevation: 800 ft.
• Clonal blend: 44% Wadensville, 56% Pommard
• Certifications: LIVE, Salmon Safe
• Hand harvested on October 1, and October 4, 2018

WINEMAKING INFORMATION:

• 44% whole cluster
• 9-12 day cold soak
• Aged in French Oak barrels
• 44% new French Oak
