2022 PINOT NOIR

Located in the northwest corner of the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. After winding through stands of fir trees you find this biodynamically farmed vineyard with a rustic feel. Amaterra works with multiple vineyard blocks directly adjacent to each other that range from west to southeast exposure. This vineyard produces wines that are concentrated with polished structure.

TASTING NOTES AS OF OCTOBER, 2024:

Aromas of cinnamon, Rainier cherry, raspberry cordial, maple syrup, vanilla, and confectionary sugar. Palate of brown sugar, raspberry, bramble, cola, and spice from using whole clusters in the production process.

• Planted in 2008
• Soil: Sandstone based marine sediment
• Elevation: 100 to 580 feet
• Aspect: South, West, and East
• Clonal blend: 90% 770, 10% Pommard
• Hand harvested on October 12, 2022

WINEMAKING INFORMATION:

• Aged in oak barrels for 10 months
• 40% new French oak
