2021 PINOT NOIR

Swede Hill is an Amaterra estate vineyard. Located on a ridge of hills on the northenmost point of the Willamette Valley, three vineyard blocks are planted at high elevation, on steep hillsides, with varying soil types and exposures. The various heritage and Dijon clones of Pinot Noir in this location result in wines that are complex, concentrated, and earthy.

TASTING NOTES AS OF OCTOBER 2024:

Aromas of ripe pie cherry, raspberry preserves, cola, clove, lavender, woody herbs, and rose. The palate is concentrated and tightly structured with flavors of cherry, herbs, and minerality on the finish.

• Planted in 2014 to 2016
• Hand harvested on October 1, 2021

WINEMAKING INFORMATION:

• 7 day cold soak
• 21 day maceration
• Aged for 10 months in oak barrels
• 29% new French oak
